Arrival and departure
Before the start of the course, you will receive a welcome e-mail with the final programme. This will state the starting and finishing times of the course and where you may check in. We would ask you to respect these times so that lessons and other work at the Château can take place undisturbed.
If there is no other way and you expect to arrive later, please email in advance to [email protected] or app/call Meriam on +316 42 83 04 04 to arrange something about this!

Parking
Park your car or two-wheeler in the car park, near the other cars. Please keep the entrance to the shop and the winery clear. Be careful not to park too close to the vineyard: we sometimes have to pass it with the tractor. Parking is at your own risk.

Access
You have access to the designated course room, the associated toilet block, the car park and the public area outside the fence. The rest can only be accessed with Château Gort & Gort staff. We ask you to respect our privacy and homes and not wander through the Château or garden on your own.
It is not allowed to camp on the property inside or outside the fence. There is a camper site a 5-minute walk from the Château or ask Meriam for the address of nice campsites nearby.

No liability for alcohol consumption
Château Gort & Gort/Meriam will never encourage excessive alcohol consumption by course participants. The wines served are intended as tasting wines; crachoirs are available for spitting out the wine. Château Gort & Gort is not liable for the consequences of alcohol consumption before, during and after the course. The course participant is personally responsible for prudent alcohol consumption, especially where road safety and medication are concerned.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in or in front of the entrance to the premises. Please do not throw your cigarette butts on the ground outside please, but throw them properly extinguished in the trash or in an ashtray.

Liability
Guests of Château Gort & Gort  are responsible for their own safety.
Guests of Château Gort & Gort's holiday home are themselves responsible for the safety of children and pets brought along. This applies inside the holiday home but also on the outside, such as the garden, playground and terrace.
Château Gort & Gort undertakes to take appropriate action after reporting nuisance caused by guests. If the guest makes a mess, and in the worst case we have to ask this guest to leave, we cannot refund the remaining stay.

Has something broken down? Please notify our équipe as soon as possible. In case of serious damage caused by the guest, the deposit may be retained and insurance may also be involved.

Travel and cancellation insurance
We strongly advise every course participant to take out their own (travel and) cancellation insurance. Château Gort & Gort does not take out insurance for course participants.

Privacy
Château Gort  is responsible for the processing of personal data as reflected in our privacy statement found on our website.

Complaints
Do you have a complaint? If so, report it to Meriam even during your stay; she will do everything to solve the problem as soon as possible.
In case of major emergencies that cannot wait until the next day, she can be reached at +31 6 42 83 04 04.

Internal regulations
Château Gort & Gort's holiday home has a number of house rules:

  • Refund
If the guest makes a mess of things, and we have to ask this guest to leave in the worst case scenario, we cannot refund the remaining stay.
  • Pets
Dogs are welcome, cosy! You may bring your faithful four-legged friend to the holiday home, for which an additional €50 cleaning fee per booking will be charged.
  • Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the premises. Please also do not leave cigarette butts on the ground in the street or garden. Please extinguish them properly and throw them in the waste bin or ashtray.
  • Nuisance
Château Gort & Gort Holiday Home is located in a small street with lovely neighbours; be careful not to make too much noise outside. When you have unloaded your luggage on arrival, drive backwards along the same path to the car park (so rather not continue along the path turning left around the corner). Be careful not to drive into the ditch!
  • Taking visitors
This is allowed only by agreement, and with the permission of the équipe.
  • Please do not bring furniture or other inventory outside.
However, it is allowed to use glasses, plates, cutlery and tablecloths outside.
  • Fire extinguishers and first aid kit are provided
Fire extinguishers can be found in the kitchen, hallway and corridor on both floors. The first-aid box hangs in the stairs cupboard by the cleaning utensils.
  • Sustainable
We at Château Gort & Gort love nature and do our best to treat it as well as possible. We separate waste, will you help? The SMICVAL pass in the drawer of the desk in the living room opens the waste containers near the car park. Please make sure the pass is back in place.

Cardboard, cans and plastic can go together in the designated green recycling bin located in the holiday home. VGF waste goes in the bio-waste bin, residual waste goes in the normal container and glass in the bottle bank.

  • Access and locking
If you are not in the immediate vicinity of the holiday home, lock doors and windows. The insurance does not cover damage in case of burglary. Property belonging to Château Gort & Gort that is lost through your fault will unfortunately have to be recovered from you.
  • Parking
The cottage is on a narrow street, which we share with our dear French neighbours. In order not to disturb their peace, we ask you not to drive all the way down the street. If necessary, you can drop your luggage off in front of the door and then drive back along the same path to the car park; you can park your car at the beginning of the street. Be careful not to drive into the ditch!

Parking is at your own risk.

These terms and conditions can be found at www.chateaugort-wijntoerisme.nl. We wish you a wonderful stay at Château Gort & Gort.
