The Gîte

On the first floor are two charming wine-growers' rooms, both equipped with an authentic double canopy bed (160x200cm). The Merlot-Suite has a spacious bathroom showcasing a characteristic enamel chateau bathtub on legs (high entry); Chambre Malbec has a shower and offers a phenomenal view of the Dordogne.

On the second floor you will find the cosy attic rooms: Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The magnificent, low-hanging cockpit beam constructions in both rooms provide the attic with real Château charm. Chambre Cabernet Franc has a spacious double bed (180x200cm), Chambre Cabernet Sauvignon has two comfortable single beds (90x200cm). The bathrooms on this floor are both equipped with a private toilet and shower.

All beds have good hotel-quality mattresses. On arrival, they are made up with crisp bed linen and soft towels are provided.

Children are also very welcome! Upon request, we can prepare an extra cot and/or baby bed.
The authentic living kitchen is fully equipped: a gas cooker, oven, microwave, coffee maker, milk frother, large fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

There is plenty of room for extensive cooking and dining together. A ten-minute drive away is a delicious bakery, where you can go every day for crusty baguettes and warm croissants. There are also hypermarkets in the neighbourhood, and weekly nice local markets to visit.

Set the table outside and enjoy your meal in the shade of the old trees on the terrace on the banks of the Dordogne. Bon appétit!
The cosy lounge is a nice place to end the day together. Settle on the sofa with a book from the Châteaubieb, or challenge each other to a game of Wine Farmers' Quartet.

There is good wifi and a TV screen with HDMI cable. You will also find a comprehensive folder with tourist information for young and old, a high chair and some toys.
Opposite the Gîte you will find the enclosed, green garden and spacious terrace on the Dordogne. Unwind in this unique location, and enjoy a nice glass of cool wine in the shade of the trees while overlooking the water.

There is a bike shed, a BBQ and cosy French bistro furniture.
The Gîte is on a narrow street, which we share with our dear French neighbours. In order not to disturb their peace and quiet, we ask you not to drive all the way down the street.

You can possibly drop off your luggage at the Gîte and then drive backwards along the same path to the car park; the car can be parked at the beginning of the street.

Be careful not to drive into the ditch!
